On Sunday, August 15 Virginia National Bank hosted a Tuscan Hors d’oeuvre and Wine Reception before the final performance of Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing” – presented by Four County Players and Barboursville Vineyards at the historic Barboursville Ruins.
Nestled amongst the ancient boxwoods, seventy guests enjoyed a beautiful summer evening.

Coughlin/Sharp Wedding Memorial Day Weekend 2004
The largest Beggars Staff in history gathered in Ivy, Virginia on May 30 to celebrate the marriage of Jessie Coughlin and Dave Sharp. An elegant grilled dinner was prepared and plated in a makeshift kitchen converted from Dennis’s workshop/garage. 120 guests were served under the tent on a misty evening, enjoying the happy occasion with the adorable young couple amidst bouquets of peonies, dancing to the tunes of the Guano Boys, toasting with Champagne and Raspberries, and ending with a final fireworks display.

The Rolls Royce Club at Montpelier
 Montpelier was the setting for the kick-off event for the cross-country trek of the Rolls Royce Club. Beggars Banquet was honored that Roger contacted us to be part of this occasion. Another misty summer day in Virginia was saved by Gibson Rental’s tent beautifully set in the formal gardens of Montpelier.
And we couldn’t resist snapping a photo of the classic cars parked on the front lawn in front of the mansion.

 Rain plagued Arthur Bryant once again on an early May evening at James Madison Museum in downtown Orange. The guests that braved the downpour enjoyed an hors d’oeuvre buffet surrounded by an exhibit of period prom dresses.

 Beggin for water… Amidst the on-going renovations of James and Dolley Madison’s historical home and limited kitchen resources, an elegant breakfast was staged under tent for the elite Madison Cabinet. The sun was shining and the magical atmosphere on the front lawn at Montpelier was very apparent.
